Inspector Dupin: Breton Longing – TV premiere
Dupin (Pasquale Aleardi) is seasick, Inspector Kadeg (Jan Georg Schütte) is lovesick, and so the two set off by ferry for the rugged island of Ouessant. A stranger has been found murdered in a cave. Among his belongings, Dupin finds a photograph of a Celtic wind instrument. The trail leads to the musical trio of Rayanne (Luise Aschenbrenner), Céleste and Enora. The three are dismissive. On the island, only the mysterious Sybil (Hildegard Schmahl) seems to trust them. Then Dupin, Kadeg and Nevou (Gisa Flake) discover the tragic secret the three young women are harbouring.
TV MOVIE: "With dramatic force and beguiling imagery, this calmly and sensitively told film focuses less on suspense than on the pain of the victims. Pasquale Aleardi gives a magnificent performance."
